Our Facility
South Shore Toddler Academy and Preschool is a state approved facility, educating children between the ages of 3 years old and 5 years old. We offer free full day NYCDOE 3K for All and Pre-K for All.
Each class has specific curriculum guidelines. Through the use of specially selected materials and equipment, we encourage learning through play and creative activities. Our goal is to stimulate the physical, social, intellectual, and emotional growth of the individual child. Our main concern is for our children to feel happy and self-confident while developing their natural intellectual curiosity. Our classrooms offer instruction in the areas of reading, language arts, math concepts, social studies, science, arts and crafts, ceramic play, outdoor play, story time, and music.
Classrooms are well organized and structured in order to carefully enhance the development of your child. In order to foster independence and creativity, each classroom has separate areas, or centers, to capture each child's interest. These centers may be in the areas of art table toys, rug toys, pretend play, language arts, blocks, sciences, etc. Scheduling of the day's events allows your child to participate in these centers as well as circle activities and outdoor play.
